Providing opportunities to make a difference through volunteering and charitable events is another way to give employees, rookie and veteran, a sense of pride about the company they work for. Providing opportunities through continued education or workshops for people to grow professionally and personally is another. Giving meaningful praise and recognition is yet another. These are not just simply do-gooder moves on management’s part. They are important steps in increasing employee retention and promoting a positive brand for your business outside of the workplace.
